Greetings fellow Rotarians! The theme of today’s meeting was golf! This year’s Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 12^th at the Links at Lang Farm golf course. As most of you know, this is our Club’s largest fundraiser. The money we raise from this event accounts for more than 60% of the charitable funds that we disburse to worthy causes each year. Thanks to Dave Johnson and the rest of his hard-working Golf Committee, the groundwork for this event has already been laid out.  In order for this event to once again be a success, we need every one of our members to hit the ground running and to ask as many businesses as possible to support this event.  Each week, Dave Johnson will update the list of sponsors.  He and other members of the Golf Committee can also point you in the direction of potential sponsors to solicit.

 

            This year’s District 7850 annual conference will be held in Sherbrooke, Quebec from May 3^rd through May 5th. This is a great event that allows members to meet Rotarians from across our District and to learn more about what other Clubs in our region are doing.  The cost of attendance for a couple is just under $600.00US and $430.00US for an individual. The cost includes overnight accommodations for 2 nights, all meals and admission to all of the District programs for the weekend.   Please visit the District website at www.Rotary7850.org for more information about this event.

 

            The International Committee is still looking for members to fill out its group.  If you are interested in supporting projects that assist people across the globe, then this committee might be the right fit for you.  Please contact Committee Chair, Tim Shea at tshea@cvexpo.org if you would like to join this committee.

 

            The Public Relations committee is looking for a shutterbug who would be willing to assist with taking pictures at our meetings and events.  If you are good with a camera and would like to help out with this job, please contact Pat Spielman at pspielman5465@gmail.com

 

            We are looking for volunteers to help staff the Heavenly Pantry Food Shelf on the following dates: Monday, April 8^th (5:00pm); Thursday, April 25^th (3:30pm); Monday, May 13^th (5:00pm) and Thursday, May 23^rd (3:30pm).
