Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians! Our speaker today was Amy Coyne, the new CEO of Revision Military.  Amy reported that the eyewear division of Revision was purchased by Asgard Partners & Co. on September 18, 2019. Revision currently manufactures protective eyewear and supplies its products to the U.S. Army and law enforcement agencies. Its entire operation is located in a 53,000 square foot facility in Essex and employs 130 people. Amy indicated that the company is looking to grow both in terms of space and personnel.  In addition to providing us with some information about her professional background, Amy provided samples of some of the protective eyewear that the company produces.  She also provided photographs of soldiers whose eyesight has been protected by Revision’s eyewear.

Rotary Hockey Classic

Preparations are well under way for the annual Rotary All-Star Hockey Classic.  Not only is this our Club’s second largest fundraiser, but it is an event that generates a great deal of publicity and exposure for our Club throughout the entire state.  This year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, March 21st at the Essex Skating Facility with the women’s game starting at 3:30pm and the men’s game starting immediately after.   As always, we will need several Rotarians to help at this event. Please contact Hockey Committee Chair, Jeff Cabanaw at Tarrisonus@comcast.net for details about volunteering at the Hockey Classic or opportunities for businesses to purchase ads in the game program.
