Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians! We started our meeting off by formally inducting Steve Schmida into our Club as our newest member. If you haven’t done so already, please take the opportunity to introduce yourselves to Steve and make him feel welcome.  We then took the opportunity to recognize Kristin Winer for attaining the status of a Paul Harris Fellow Plus Four.  Kristin has earned this title by donating more than $5,000.00 to the Rotary Foundation.  Thank you, Kristin for your generous support of the Foundation!  We concluded the meeting by hearing reports on the great causes and projects that we are able to support through our fundraising and volunteer efforts. Each of the Charitable Committees discussed how they spent their funds in the prior Rotary year and the causes they hope to support in 2019-2020.

2019 Corn Booth
The Corn Booth sign up page is now available on our website at the following link: https://admin.clubrunner.ca/1437/Volunteer/ManageVolunteerContacts?VolunteerSignUpId=880f35fa-d573-44a0-8f63-e6fec2b478bf  With 106 slots to cover, it is very important that we all do our part by filling slots at the Corn Booth. We certainly realize that there are extenuating circumstances that prevent people from volunteering, but absent compelling reasons, we hope that Rotarians will make an effort to fill slots.  We especially encourage some of our newer members to sign up, particularly those who are unable to attend our weekly meetings on a regular basis. Not only is this a great way to contribute to the Club, but it is a nice opportunity to get to know some of your fellow Rotarians. Please remember that friends, co-workers and family members are not only welcome, but encouraged to help fill slots.  Rotarians are also reminded that Corn Dollars are available for purchase if you would like them.  $20.00 will give you 10 Corn Dollars (each of which can be used for one ear of corn).  These are great for handing out to friends, family members, co-workers and other vendors at the Fair who might enjoy a fresh ear of corn. Corn Dollars can be purchased at the front desk prior to meetings.
