Greetings fellow Rotarians! Another successful Rotary Golf Tournament is in the books! Dave Johnson put in a request for sunshine with Mother Nature and it clearly paid off (even after he hit her up to be a Hole Sponsor).  The only things brighter than the abundant sunshine were the smiles on the faces of the many players and Rotarian volunteers who all enjoyed themselves immensely.  Thank you to the members who either played in the event or helped out as volunteers at the tournament.  A huge thank you goes out to Dave Johnson and the rest of the Golf Committee for once again making this event a monumental success!  These individuals have all been working hard since January to secure sponsors and to make sure everything was in place. We look forward to hearing about the final tally of the funds we raised from this event in the weeks to come.

            If you haven’t done so already, please sign up for our annual “Changeover” Picnic which is scheduled for 5:30pm on June 26^th at Maple Street Park in Essex Junction. In addition to thanking President Andy Love and his team, the club will welcome incoming President Heidi Brosseau and her team of directors. and we will recognize the Rotarian of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Unsung Hero and President’s Award recipient. Delicious food will once again be provided by Rick’s Catering, a long-time friend of the club who also caters the Golf Tournament Dinner. The cost is $20 per person. (You will be billed through ClubRunner, similar to how our regular lunches are billed.) 

            By now, members should have received invoices for their annual dues. It is important for us to have all of our invoices paid immediately as those funds are used to pay the fees that are charged to our Club by the District and Rotary International for each one of our reported members. We also ask that you please let us know as soon as possible if you do not intend to renew your membership.  If we do not receive your dues payment before the end of the month, you will not be enrolled as a member of our Club for 2019-2020 and you will need to re-apply for membership.             We are looking for volunteers to help staff the Heavenly Pantry Food Shelf on the following dates: Thursday, June 27^th (3:30pm); Monday, July 8th (5:15pm); Thursday, July 25^th (3:30pm); Monday, August 12^th (5:15pm); Thursday, August 22^nd (3:30pm); Monday, September 9^th (5:15pm); and Thursday, September 26^th (3:30pm).

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  Wednesday, June 19, 2019 – Our speaker will be a representative from the Vermont Family Network, which is an organization that provides services to families with children who have special needs.
