Greetings Rotarians!  Due to the fact that Rotarians are busy selling corn and water at the Champlain Valley Fair this week, we did not have a regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday.  Overall, we have enjoyed great weather which we are hopeful will translate into robust sales of our products.  Thank you to all of the Rotarians, family members and friends who have graciously volunteered to work shifts at this event.  As we enter the home stretch of the 2016 fair, keep up the hard work and don’t forget to have fun!

 

 

            In the next few weeks, our Club will be conducting a comprehensive online survey that will seek input from all of our members.  The purpose of this survey will be to take the pulse of the Club on all aspects of our organization.  All of the questions have already been reviewed and approved by our Board of Directors, so the survey should be available in electronic format shortly.  Subjects will cover many topics including the weekly meeting format, each of our fundraisers, our service projects and much more.  The results will be anonymous and will by no means serve as binding resolutions, but this will be your opportunity to weigh in on how you think things are going and the direction our Club should take moving forward.  We are hopeful that everyone will take the time to participate and complete the survey.  Please contact Jason Ruwet if you have any questions about the survey.

 

 

            On Saturday, October 15th from 9 to 11 am our club is planning to volunteer at ADL middle school for the Feed My Starving Children service project. At this event, we help hand-pack meals for malnourished children and the meals are sent around the world where they're used to operate orphanages, schools, clinics and feeding programs.             The next opportunities to volunteer at the Heavenly Food Pantry will be on September 22^nd and October 27^th.  Please contact Sharon Dettenrieder if you would like to sign up for shifts.
