Happy Holidays fellow Rotarians! Oops, sorry about that! Yesterday’s snow storm made me think it was December 27^th instead of April 27^th. Today we held our monthly charitable committee meetings.  For those committees that have spent all of their money, good work.  For those committees that are still trying to determine the manners in which you would like to allocate your funds, please remember that the end of the fiscal Rotary year will be here before you know it.  As such, it is important to get your disbursement requests to Sharon Dettenrieder sooner, rather than later.

 

 

            Don’t let this lousy weather fool you; the Essex Rotary Golf Tournament is just six short weeks away! We are in dire need of more cart and hole sponsors, so it is important that every member does what he or she can to try getting at least one business to support this event.  Brochures to hand to potential sponsors are available at the meetings.  A sign-up sheet is also being passed around for volunteers at this event. If you haven’t done so already, please be sure to sign up for a shift.  Please remember that this is our Club’s largest fundraiser and in order for it to be a success, we need everyone to help.

 

 

            We are always looking for Rotarians who are willing to volunteer for shifts at the Heavenly Pantry Food Shelf in Essex Junction.  The next volunteering opportunities will be on May 26^th and June 23^rd.  Please let Sharon Dettenrieder know if you are interested in signing up for any of these shifts.

 

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  May 4, 2016 – Next week’s speaker is to be determined.  With any luck, there won’t be snow on the ground!
