Greetings fellow Rotarians! We started off today’s meeting inducting Carol Johnson as our newest member.  Carol works with fellow Rotarian, Chris Kasper at State Farm Insurance Agency in Essex Junction.  Carol was previously a member of the Burlington Rotary Club and she is looking forward to serving with our Club.  Please take the time to introduce yourselves to Carol and make her feel welcome.  We followed the induction with a brief video and talk by Phil Murdock about the upcoming Wings Over Vermont Air Show that is scheduled for August 13^th and 14^th.  Phil and his committee are actively seeking volunteers and sponsors for this event.  Please visit http://www.wingsoververmont.org/ for more information about what should be an amazing weekend.  We finished today’s meeting with our monthly charitable committee meetings. Committee members are encouraged to get their funding requests to Kristin Winer as soon as possible.

 

            Our annual Service Above Self Dinner will be held on the evening of February 17^th at The Essex.  The cost of the dinner will be $30.00 per person. Please note that the Club is using money from its general fund to help keep the cost per meal at a level that is more affordable for members.  A sign-up sheet for this event will be circulated at future meetings for those who are interested in attending.  This dinner will be held in lieu of our regularly scheduled meeting that day.

 

 

            Our Club’s 50^th anniversary celebration will be held on Wednesday, April 13^th at 5:30pm.  As part of the celebration, the 50th anniversary committee is looking for photographs from Rotary events over the past 50 years.  If you have photographs - hard copies from the early years or digital copies from later years - please get them to Jeff Cabanaw as he is putting together a video for us that will be shown at the 50^th anniversary dinner.  If you would like the hard copies returned to you, please indicate that on the envelope so that Jeff can get them back to the right person. 

 

 

            The 50^th Anniversary T-shirts have arrived!  If you ordered a t-shirt, you may pick them up at future Rotary meetings.
