Meeting

Greetings Rotarians!  Today’s speaker was General Harry Miller, Executive Director of Military and Veteran Services for Easter Seals of New England.  General Miller explained that the goal of his organization is to help address the unmet needs of members of our armed services, veterans and their families to ensure that they thrive in their communities. In partnership with Veterans Count, Easter Seals of New England has assisted over 8,700 individuals in recent years as they have provided employment counseling, deployment support, mental health counseling, and many other services.  Currently, Easter Seals of New England is trying to expand the level of support that they provide in Vermont.  For more information about this organization, please visit its website at

Monthly Rotary Theme

The monthly Rotary theme for June is “Fellowship”.  A key component of Rotary is fellowship, both within our Club and within the community.  As Rotarians, we should be asking ourselves whether our actions in our daily lives will build goodwill and friendship. Being actively involved with Rotary projects is certainly a means to that end as they afford us the opportunities to not only become better acquainted with our fellow members, but to possibly make new connections with individuals in our general community.  Programs like our upcoming Changeover Dinner also provide great chances to enjoy the fellowship of other members of our Club and their families.

Upcoming Meeting Schedule:  Wednesday, June 24, 2015 – We will be holding our annual Changeover Dinner and auction in the Atrium at The Essex.  The event begins with a cocktail hour at 5:30 and will be followed by dinner and the always popular auction.  This will be a great opportunity to thank our outgoing board and to welcome our incoming officers.   Please note, this event will be held in lieu of our regularly scheduled lunch meeting that day.
