Meeting Recap

Greetings Rotarians! Today we inducted Tilyr Dunklow into our Club.  Tilyr recently moved to Vermont from Georgia to open a new chiropractic center.  Please take time to introduce yourselves to Tilyr and to make him feel welcome.  The remainder of the meeting was dedicated to our charitable committee meetings.  By now, the committees should be close to wrapping up their fiscal years and planning ahead for the upcoming Rotary year.

Essex Rotary Golf Tournament

We are now down to crunch time in terms of getting sponsors for this event!  Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to the plate and secured hole and cart sponsors already.  This event could always use more, however, so if you know of any potential sponsors, please ask them to consider a hole or cart sponsorship.  This is our Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year, so let’s make sure it continues to be a success!

Essex Eats Out

Our Club has stepped up to assist with the coordination and staffing of the Essex Eats Out meal that will be held on June 5th at the First Congregational Church. If you would like to either bring food or volunteer to work at this event, please go to www.essexeatsout.org and click “Volunteer” at the top of the page; click the green check-mark on the next screen; click FCCEJ on the page that lists the locations; enter your e-mail address; and select the item you wish to donate and deliver.  All donations should be delivered to the church by 5:00pm on June 5th.  Please contact Sharon Dettenrieder for more information about this event.

Food Pantry Volunteers

Sharon Dettenrieder is looking for volunteers to assist at the Heavenly Pantry Foodshelf on the fourth Thursday of each month from 3:30pm to 6:30pm.  The dates for which volunteers are needed are June 25th, July 23rd and August 27th. Please contact Sharon if you are able to help out.
