Meeting Recap

Greetings fellow Rotarians! Each of the charitable committee chairs described the focus of his or her respective committee. This presentation gave our newer members a better understanding of the manner in which the money we raise is spent. Following this overview, the committees each broke off for their monthly meetings to continue finding ways in which the money we have raised can be put to good use.

Essex Rotary All-Star Hockey Classic

Preparations are well under way for this event and we are currently soliciting volunteers to help out on game. Both games and banquets are being held on Saturday, March 23, 2013. The banquets will be held at The Essex starting at 9:30am, with the woman’s banquet being held in the ballroom and the men’s banquet being held in the atrium. The women’s game will be held at the Essex Skating Facility at 1:00pm, and the men’s game will start at the same venue at 4:00pm. Like the Golf Tournament, the Corn Booth, and the Senior Luncheon, this is an event where we really do need as many volunteers as possible. As such, we would ask that all Rotarians be prepared to help out at this event. Sign up sheets are being passed around at our weekly meetings, but if you would like to sign up for a shift in advance, please e-mail Jason Ruwet at JFR@essexvtlaw.com

District Conference – Bermuda Cruise

This year’s District 7850 Conference will take place on a cruise to Bermuda! The cruise ship will depart from Boston on May 24^th and arrive in Bermuda on May 26^th. After three, fun-filled days in the land of stylish shorts and favorable tax laws, the ship will commence its journey back to Boston and arrive in the Hub on May 31^st. Essex Rotary Golf Tournament
