The Rotary Club of Essex was honored Saturday, May 19th, at the Annual District Conference in Lincoln, NH with District 7850’s Rotary Club of the Year!  This award is chosen by District Governor, Marilyn ImageBedell, based on criteria including commitment to diverse and growing membership, leadership development of our members, district involvement, community contributions, and embracing and supporting international projects as well as supporting the Rotary Foundation. 

Club President, Amy Jackman (2011-2012), received the award on behalf of the club.  District 7850 includes 41 other Rotary Clubs in Quebec, Vermont and New Hampshire.  The Rotary Club of Essex was also honored with Five Zone Awards in the areas of: Community Service, Literacy, Public Relations, New Generations and Leadership.
