Review of "Visioning Session" Outcomes
Recasting Essex Rotary's Strategies and Directions for 2022 and Beyond

Message from Essex Rotary President Max Levy concerning follow-up on "Visioning Session":

On December 1, 2021, 24 of our Rotary Club members gathered in person and via Zoom at the Essex Police Facility for a visioning session.  District leaders, Eric Denu, Richard Fox, Jamie Milne, and Susan Cherry facilitated the event.  The results of this work were presented to the board on December 14th.  Based on the results of both the survey submitted to membership and the visioning session, it appears that our members feel the strongest about the following topics:

1.     Ensuring that all members are engaged

2.     Continuing Operation Warm

3.     Developing vocational education with the schools including awards given

4.     Developing 2-3 signature environmental projects (i.e. Community Clean Water project with a sister organization)

5.     Developing more diversity in the club’s leadership team

6.     Developing golf tournament to raise $50,000

7.     Developing hockey tournament to raise $30,000

The Rotary Board will go over the results of the visioning session and lead a discussion about our next steps at the January 5th 2022 Rotary Meeting at the Essex Police Facility.  We are hopeful that as many Rotarians as possible will attend this meeting (either in person or via Zoom) and assist us in developing both a concrete set of goals for our Club and strategies for achieving them.

Happy Holidays to All!

From the Essex Rotary Board
