John Reuwer
Experience Serving as a Peace Maker / Conflict Resolver in South Sudan

Dr. Reuwer has served around the world as a member of the United Nation's Nonviolent Peaceforce team.  Beginning in February 2019 he went to South Sudan to serve as an observer / peacemaker.  His series of notes from the field were shared with Essex Rotary members as he reported in from South Sudan.

The Nonviolent Peaceforce's mission is:  "We protect civilians in violent conflicts through unarmed strategies. We build peace side by side with local communities. We advocate for the wider adoption of these approaches to safeguard human lives and dignity."
