Language of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion & Vermont's Response

Paul Yoon, who works at UVM on issues associated with diversity and inclusion, will talk to us about the language of issues surrounding equity.

Here is how Paul characterizes his talk: 

"Our country has become increasingly polarized as the divide between cultural, political, social, and religious ideology grows progressively wider. To many, statements like #BlackLivesMatter and #AllLivesMatter are mutually exclusive. To others, diversity makes us, as a nation, stronger, or that diversity “destroys nations.” Paul Suk-Hyun Yoon (he/him/his), Senior Advisor for Strategic Diversity, Assessment and Research in the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at UVM and Partner with CQ Strategies, will join us to talk about the language of DEI and what DEI looks like and could look like in Vermont."
