The following guidelines have been developed to assist those responsible for securing program speakers for club meetings

Guidelines for Club Program-Sponsors to assist Speakers prepare for their Presentations

1.  Topic should be broad-based and of general interest to everyone, not to a select few

2.  Sponsor should ensure speaker is experienced in making presentations to a group of professionals

3.  Sponsor should guide the speaker to keep the presentation to 20-25 minutes, including questions

4.  Sponsor and/or Speaker should be familiar with equipment or presentation aids used

5.  If Speaker is providing equipment, come early to set up and test equipment

6.  If Inn is providing equipment, Sponsor must coordinate in advance ... come early to test equipment
7.  Essex Rotary will not be responsible for the cost of any equipment used for presentations

As a business club we should expect a quality job of presenters, as we demand of ourselves!
We should work together to ensure the best programs possible for our club.

Guidelines for Club Programs involving Political Candidates

1.  Announced political candidates may be scheduled to speak ONLY within a campaign election year

2.  Only candidates running for State-wide office may be invited to speak

3.  An effort to invite all candidates running for the same office should be made before scheduling any candidate
